Static And Dynamic Analysis Of Drill Machine Spindle Based On Ansys For Tapping Operation
During machining, the cutting tool, spindle and tool holder all move together. Each of these hasstatic and dynamic effects on the system. At the same time, the structure of the system changesdue to the elongation of the spindle during operation. In order to examine the effect of thisstructural change on the strength and vibration characteristics of the system, a model was madeconsidering all spindle components according to three different positions (50 mm, 100 mm and150 mm). With this, four different materials (20MnCr5, 4340, 8620 and Ck45) were chosen inorder to determine which spindle material was more effective in the machine design.Additionally, during this analysis process, it was assumed that the machine was performing athreading operation and M10 HSS tap set was used as a tool. Under these conditions, the staticand dynamic analyzes of the system were performed using the finite element method. All thespecified analyzes were performed with ANSYS Workbench and the obtained results werepresented in the form of graphics and tables.
