VARIATION OF SOIL CARBON SEQUESTRATION IN SOIL PROFILES OF SEMIARID REGIONS
Soil carbon sequestration in semi-arid regions is an essential process for mitigating climatechange and enhancing soil fertility. Understanding the dynamics of soil carbon in different soilprofiles particularly in semi-arid climates is crucial for managing these ecosystems in the faceof increasing anthropogenic pressures and climate variability. This study explores thevariations in soil carbon sequestration in semi-arid regions, emphasizing how different soilprofiles interact with climatic factors such as temperature, precipitation, and vegetation cover.Additionally, the implications of these findings on sustainable land management and carbonreduction strategies in semiarid ecosystems were also investigated. Through literature review,we evaluated the influence of various factors on soil organic carbon (SOC) at different depthsin semiarid regions, focusing on the impacts of land management and climate change on soilorganic carbon (SOC).
