Time-resolved structural dynamics in photoexcited molecular systems
Light-induced processes in transition metal complexes TMCs govern key applications in photosensitization and photocatalysis, occurring on femto- (fs) to picosecond (ps) timescales and involving coupled electronic and structural changes. This project aims to investigate the ultrafast structural dynamics of mixed-ligand photo- catalytically active Cu(I) dye photosensitizers, the influence of the ligand structures and different solvents environments on their photochemical outputs (e.g., catalytic efficiency in single electron transfer processes SET).
