Launch angle controlled Airy-Gaussian beam interaction in a cubic-quintic nonlinear medium

We numerically investigate the interaction of two Airy–Gaussian (AiG) beams in a cubic–quintic nonlinear medium. The interaction between two low-amplitude AiG beams can be delayed or advanced by tuning the initial launch angle. An interaction induced interference pattern strongly depends upon the beam separation and relative phase of the beams. In contrast, large amplitude beams encounter nonlinear effects; therefore, the interaction of two out-of-phase AiG beams generates a pair of solitons that repel each other. The repulsive dynamics can be manipulated by the beam separation and initial launch angle. On the other hand, the interation of two in-phase AiG beams generates solitons and breather solitons depending upon the beam separation and initial launch angle. Uniquely, triple solitons can also be observed from the in-phase AiG beam interaction. The presence of competing quintic nonlinearity significantly modifies the interaction dynamics between the beams under the influence of the initial launch angle.
