A Constant-Voltage and Constant-Current Capacitive Power Transfer System Based on Transmitter’s Parameter Prediction

To overcome the limitations of high latency and poor reliability caused by the dependence on wireless communication feedback in conventional capacitive power transfer (CPT) systems, this paper proposes a predictive algorithm that estimates the output voltage and current using only the electrical parameters measured at the transmitter. The proposed algorithm can accurately estimate the output state of the receiver using only real-time measurement information from the transmitter. Building on this prediction result, an autonomous control strategy is developed to achieve constant-voltage (CV) and constant-current (CC) output without receiver-side communication. An experimental prototype is constructed, achieving a constant output of 25.2 V and 2A across varying transfer distances, with a maximum efficiency of 91.4%. These results verify the accuracy of the prediction algorithm and demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed CV and CC control strategy.
