A case report of primary malignant melanoma of the cervix
Primary malignant melanoma of the cervix is an extremely rare malignant tumor, accounting for less than 0.5% of all cervical malignancies [1]. This article reports a case of a 66-year-old female patient who presented with "vaginal bleeding" and was diagnosed with primary malignant melanoma of the cervix via colposcopic biopsy and immunohistochemistry. The patient received dacarbazine chemotherapy. Through a systematic review of previous literature, this paper summarizes the clinicopathological features, diagnostic criteria, treatment strategies, and prognostic factors of this disease.
