Sublingual tetrahydrocannabinol and cannabidiol to treat pain in epidermolysis bullosa: a randomized, placebo-controlled crossover study
We conducted a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled crossover trial of sublingual 10% tetrahydrocannabinol/5% cannabidiol in eight adults with epidermolysis bullosa and chronic pain. No significant change in pain affect occurred, but 75% reported ≥ 30% global pain reduction. Analgesic use halved during active treatment. Mild adverse events were common and larger trials are warranted.
