Tension Between High-Redshift JWST Observations and ΛCDM: A Time-Primacy Cosmology as an Alternative Framework
Recent observations from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) reveal a significantabundance of massive galaxies at redshifts z > 8, challenging early structure formationtimescales in the standard ΛCDM cosmology.Weperformastatistically controlled comparison between ΛCDM and a phenomenologicalTime-Primacy (Critical Spiral) cosmology in which space emerges statistically from causalgrowth dynamics.Using publicly available JWST data on stellar mass functions, dusty galaxy populations, and massive high-redshift candidates, we evaluate goodness-of-fit statistics and informationcriteria using only observables modeled consistently by both cosmologies. While both models experience tension with current data, the Time-Primacy model provides a statistically improved fit to high-redshift galaxy abundances. Information-criteriondifferences indicate strong preference for modified early-time growth dynamics. We emphasize that this result does not constitute a global refutation of ΛCDM, buthighlights a localized high-redshift tension requiring further investigation.
