PROTECTEST: A UNIFIED FRAMEWORK FOR PROACTIVE SECURITY MONITORING

With the rapid expansion of digital networks and web-based infrastructures, organizations face increasing exposure to security threats such as open ports, misconfigured services, and outdated software components. Traditional vulnerability assessment approaches rely on multiple standalone tools, manual execution, and expert interpretation, making the process time-consuming and prone to inconsistencies and false positives. To address these challenges, this paper proposes ProtecTest, a unified and automated vulnerability testing platform that integrates target management, port scanning, service enumeration, reconnaissance, vulnerability detection, and reporting into a single framework. ProtecTest employs rule-based analysis and structured data handling to improve accuracy while reducing false positives. The platform supports scalable scanning, modular extensibility, and web-based visualization, enabling efficient security assessments for large and dynamic environments. Experimental analysis demonstrates that ProtecTest significantly improves assessment efficiency, accuracy, and usability compared to conventional approache
