PIDs Implementation Guide for Institutions
This resource, developed by the Institutions Stakeholder Action Group of the Australian National Persistent Identifier (PID) Strategy, provides practical "recipes" in PID-enabled areas including advice about essential PIDs, use cases, interventions, decisions and system requirements for technical implementation. It is intended for operational managers, implementers, and business process owners in research organisations to aid in developing technical implementation plans. As a community developed resource, it includes recommendations for future joint-stakeholder work and the document is expected to evolve. The guide is complemented by two other resources, the PID Value Proposition Resource which outlines a number of value proposition scenarios for institutions, and the PIDs Capability & Maturity Model which provides a more systemic organisational overview.
