Optimization of CO 2 -Based Hollow-Core Fiber Gas Laser for Watt-Level Power Output at 4.3 μm Wavelength
We numerically and experimentally study the continuous-wave mid-infrared CO2 gas fiber laser filled in anti-resonant hollow-core fiber laser. The operation of CO2 gas fiber laser is simulated based on four-level rate equations including inter-molecular collision induced relaxation, showing excellent agreement with experimental results. Under optimized operating conditions, watt-level continuous-wave laser emission is achieved, with a maximum output power of 1.81 W and a slope efficiency of 18.01%, the highest reported so far for the watt-level output.
