A Case of Reduced Pulse Pressure Following Aortic Valve Replacement: A Pitfall of Proximal Subclavian Artery Occlusion
A 67-year-old man developed acute pulse pressure narrowing after aortic valve replacement. Right radial artery cannulation restored normal pressure, and left subclavian artery occlusion was found, diagnosing pseudohypotension from arterial stenosis. This case emphasizes checking inter-arm pressure differences in cardiac surgery and highlights a key diagnostic algorithm.
