MEMORY CHARACTERISTICS IN CHILDREN WITH MENTAL RETARDATION

The article describes the memory characteristics of children with mental retardation. The authors provide detailed information about memory disorders in such children and the causes of this condition, including organic, psychogenic and somatogenic factors. Memory disorders seriously interfere with the learning and development processes of these children, reducing their ability to perceive, retain and actualize information. The article also considers the importance of correctional and pedagogical measures, diagnostic signs, indicators of motor development and their classification. Research shows the need to use special methods and mnemonics in the development of memory in children. The material is useful for psychologists and teachers in practical work.
