Parameter design of WPT systems for underwater unmanned vehicles based on optimal efficiency
Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology has gained widespread attention and application in underwater unmanned vehicles (UUVs) due to its superior convenience and environmental adaptability. Compared to WPT systems in air, the eddy current loss in seawater significantly impacts the design of resonant frequency and parameters for underwater WPT systems. However, industry standards and guidelines for resonant frequency and resonant network parameter design in underwater WPT systems remain underdeveloped. To address this issue, this paper investigates the factors influencing circuit parasitic losses and eddy current losses in underwater WPT systems and proposes a parameter design strategy to enhance system efficiency. Based on this method, a 2.2 kW experimental prototype was developed, achieving a power transmission efficiency of 86.83%. Compared to traditional designs, the proposed method improves efficiency by 2.33%, providing a valuable reference for the design of resonant frequency and resonant network parameters in underwater WPT systems.
