The Lorentz fiber-bundle-induced scalar–tensor cosmologies: Observational aspects

In this paper, we study the scalar–tensor theory arising effectively from the Lorentz fiber bundle in a Finsler-like geometrical structure. Within this framework, we show the dynamical dark energy mechanism originating from the non-conservation of energy–momentum tensor of this scalar–tensor model. As a consequence, a natural interacting-like mechanism may be visualized for the dark matter and dark energy components of the model. We probe the observational aspects of the models by a rigorous examination of the effective dark energy sector possessing an explicit interaction with the matter sector. We probe two classes of cosmologies based on the equation of state for dark energy. The constraints on resulting expansion dynamics have been obtained by the Bayesian analysis based method with the DESI DR2 BAO, Pantheon+SH0ES, Cosmic chronometer, and CMB data. Based on the derived constraints, we investigate the cosmological parameters to identify the evolution of the universe and the issue of Hubble tension in the models. The consistency of models with the standard [Formula: see text]CDM model has been tested using the model selection criteria. The Hubble parameter of the Lorentz fiber bundle induced scalar–tensor models may relax the Hubble tension to a very good extent.
