Adaptive smooth transition control for short-circuit faults in back-to-back flexible interconnection systems
Flexible interconnection technology enables dynamic power flow control in distribution networks. Aiming at the asymmetric operating conditions under feeder short-circuit faults in back-to-back (B2B) flexible interconnection systems (FISs), this paper proposes a predictive coefficient tracking control strategy. The proposed method eliminates the need for multiple current component extraction and complex control loop design. By directly deriving arm voltage references through the predictive model, it effectively reduces voltage, current, and power fluctuations during mode transients, ensuring reliable power supply for flexible interconnection systems under short-circuit faults. A B2B low-voltage FIS is developed in Simulink, with results validating the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis.
