Modern diagnostic methods for early detection of vascular toxicity associated with antitumor therapy
Timely diagnosis of cancer treatment related cardiovascular toxicity significantly influences prognosis of cancer patients. Since endothelial dysfunction is the leading mechanism of cardiovascular diseases, assessment of structural and functional state of vascular system seems promising for early diagnosis of vascular toxicity. The article analyzes experience of non-invasive instrumental methods to detect vascular damage caused by antitumor therapy.
