A compendium of snippets of original research published by UCMS faculty in other indexed journals

This observational cross-sectional study was conducted with a sample of 60 nursing staff working in the OPD, emergency, and ICU wards of Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital in Delhi.A self-administered questionnaire on knowledge and practices related to disaster management was provided to the participants, and their responses were recorded. The questionnaire consisted of three sections: questions pertaining to participant and baseline information, knowledge, and practices. Results revealed that only 32 participants (53.3%) regularly or occasionally participated in disaster drills, highlighting a lack of practice among them. While there is a general awareness and understanding of disaster management principles, gaps in practical engagement and procedural knowledge remain. This emphasizes the need for more workshops and simulated training.
