A study on developing evaluation criteria for AIDT in elementary English based on the 2022 Revised Curriculum

This study develops evaluation criteria for AIDT in elementary English education, reflecting the 2022 revised national curriculum and the pedagogical features of AI-enhanced digital learning. The research proceeded in three phases: (1) analyzing prior studies and governmental standards using text-mining to extract common elements, (2) organizing these into major and sub-domains for AIDT evaluation, and (3) validating clarity and relevance through group interviews with elementary English teachers. The text mining analysis revealed that among the major domains of AIDT evaluation criteria, learning-related aspects were most frequently emphasized, followed by content, curriculum alignment, instructional considerations, and management-related factors. Teachers highlighted the importance of personalized learning and intuitive UI/UX. A comprehensive set of evaluation criteria was developed, consisting of six major domains and 29 detailed sub-criteria.
