IMPACT OF DIGITAL HEALTH APPS TOWARDS MEDICAL INDUSTRY IN COIMBATORE CITY

This study investigates the multifaceted impact of digital health apps on the medical industry in Coimbatore, with particular emphasis on accessibility, patient engagement, clinical outcomes, and healthcare provider workflows. Using a mixed-methods approach—combining quantitative usage data from leading health apps with qualitative insights from healthcare professionals and patients the research reveals that digital health tools have enhanced patient access to medical services, improved communication between patients and providers, and streamlined appointment scheduling and follow-up care. However, challenges related to digital literacy, data privacy concerns and integration with existing healthcare systems persist. Findings suggest that while digital health apps have the potential to increase efficiency and patient satisfaction, sustained investment in infrastructure, training, and policy frameworks is essential to maximize these benefits.
