From In‐Silico Optimized Microfabrication to Experimental Validation: Engineering a Tridimensional Epi‐Intraneural Interface (Adv. Funct. Mater. 14/2026)

Tridimensional Epi-Intraneural Interfaces This cover reimagines the vagus nerve as a neural highway linking multiple organs. A novel hybrid electrode, capable of stimulating both from outside and within the nerve, selectively engages specific pathways. Computationally optimized and validated in rodent and porcine models, the interface enables multipolar, function-specific stimulation, supporting the translation toward precise bioelectronic therapies. More information can be found in the Research Article by Stanisa Raspopovic and co-workers (10.1002/adfm.202522367).

Abstract

Tridimensional Epi-Intraneural Interfaces This cover reimagines the vagus nerve as a neural highway linking multiple organs. A novel hybrid electrode, capable of stimulating both from outside and within the nerve, selectively engages specific pathways. Computationally optimized and validated in rodent and porcine models, the interface enables multipolar, function-specific stimulation, supporting the translation toward precise bioelectronic therapies. More information can be found in the Research Article by Stanisa Raspopovic and co-workers (10.1002/adfm.202522367).
