To prescribe or not prescribe… ivermectin for delusional infestation: that is the question
This letter discusses the ethical challenges of prescribing ivermectin in patients with delusional infestation- a practice sometimes used to maintain engagement despite not being included in national guidelines. Drawing on clinical experience, it explores the balance between empathy and ethical integrity, and the need for clearer guidance on how to manage these difficult cases while preserving patient trust.
