Tri-Band MIMO Antenna Design for Future 5G/6G Handheld Devices

This A compact MIMO antenna system is proposed, featuring miniaturized resonant elements tailored for emerging mobile platforms. The array is formed by positioning two sets of discrete-fed loop radiators on opposite sides of the substrate, resulting in an <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$8 \times 8$</tex> configuration. To achieve multi-band capability, the radiating loops are etched on the same layer as the ground plane, allowing the design to support three operating bands at 3.6 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6.2 GHz. The layout is spaceefficient, occupying only a limited section of the board. Detailed analysis confirms that the antenna provides stable performance across the targeted frequency ranges, making it well suited for compact 5G-enabled devices such as smartphones
