Wide-Scan MM-Wave Phased Array with Low-Profile and Super-Wideband Dipoles for 5G/6G Cellular Communication Networks

This paper investigates the characteristics of a novel design that integrates low-profile and super-wideband (SWB) resonators, optimized for advanced cellular communication systems. The design consists of eight arrow-dipole elements with microstrip-line feeding, arranged in a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$1 \times 8$</tex> linear configuration, positioned at the top of a smartphone board. It covers a wide frequency range from 26 GHz to 41 GHz with a-10 dB reflection coefficient, encompassing several key bands within the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{5 G} / \mathbf{6 G}$</tex> spectrums. Abstract

This paper investigates the characteristics of a novel design that integrates low-profile and super-wideband (SWB) resonators, optimized for advanced cellular communication systems. The design consists of eight arrow-dipole elements with microstrip-line feeding, arranged in a <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$1 \times 8$</tex> linear configuration, positioned at the top of a smartphone board. It covers a wide frequency range from 26 GHz to 41 GHz with a-10 dB reflection coefficient, encompassing several key bands within the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{5 G} / \mathbf{6 G}$</tex> spectrums. In addition to the simplicity of the design process, the phased array antenna's essential radiation properties are highlighted to meet the demands of future <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{5 G} / \mathbf{6 G}$</tex> networks.
