Revealing How Acid Sites Enhance the Electrocatalytic Glycerol Oxidation Performance on Pt Loaded Zeolite‐Carbon Composite Materials (Adv. Mater. 10/2026)

Electrocatalytic Oxidation This cover highlights a hybrid electrocatalytic material that integrates Pt metal sites with acidic Al sites on a zeolite-templated carbon framework for use in the electrocatalytic oxidation of biomass-derived glycerol to renewable chemicals. The catalytic effects of acid sites on electrocatalytic glycerol oxidation are investigated and revealed by using a combination of experimental and theoretical evidence. This work provides valuable insights for advancing electrocatalytic oxidation performances through the integration of active acid sites, which have traditionally been leveraged in heterogeneous catalytic reactions. More details can be found in the Research Article by Hyung Ju Kim, Kyoungsoo Kim, Jeong Woo Han, and co-workers (DOI: 10.1002/adma.202511220).
