Dual-Band Loop-Resonator-Based MIMO Antenna Architecture for 6G and Terahertz Wireless Communication Systems

This study presents a 4-element MIMO antenna array designed for THz and 6G communications. The antenna features a straightforward design, utilizing low-profile loop elements fed by microstrip lines, positioned on different sides of a compact board with overall dimensions of <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$0.16 \times 0.16 \text{mm}^{2}$</tex> substrate. The proposed MIMO antenna demonstrates dual-band functionality, operating effectively at 1.5 THz and 2.2 THz. The array shows strong potential in terms of key performance metrics, including S-parameters, radiation patterns, and gain/efficiency levels, making it a promising candidate for future wireless networks.
