The “good” future is a mirage? – hyperdiploidy in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia
• Review of cytogenetics in hyper diploid ALL of cytogenetics on Day 28 is feasible and can be implemented in all centres with cytogenetics data. • Duplicated hyper haploids chromosome 1q duplication, chromosome 6q deletion, isochromosome 17q, isochromosome 7q, and TP53 mutation may be associated with non-classical hyperdiploidy. • There is no added cost of this test for risk stratification which adds to the economic burden in resource-limited settings but a simple review of the cytogenetics data.
