A Secure Data Transmission Method for <scp>MEC</scp> Smart Devices Based on Oracles

ABSTRACT To have solved the issue of trustworthy perceptual data feed in the outer edge server of blockchain, a secure data transmission method for MEC smart devices based on oracles was proposed. A key priority key management scheme was designed. The key priority comprehensively measured the factors such as geographical nearness, bandwidth capacity, and spatial mobility, improving the network reachability and anti‐capture capability of smart devices. A system model of edge computing and oracles has been established. Through the verification of communication keys and digital signatures, successfully verified smart device nodes could freely move in and move out of the sub edge network. Through security analysis, it has been proven that the proposed method could resist double‐spending and man‐in‐the‐middle attacks, improving its robustness. In the resource‐constrained real‐world IoT environments, such as low power and low bandwidth, the proposed method reduced the trusted data feed time delay, the computation, storage, and communication costs, and had better adaptability.
