Development of a Late-Stage Functionalization Strategy to Access Diverse 3,5-Disubstituted 1,2,4-Thiadiazoles
Efforts to prepare amine-substituted 1,2,4-thiadiazoles typically incorporate chemical diversity in the early steps of the reaction sequence or through amine choice in coupling and aromatic substitution reactions. We developed a late-stage functionalization approach that enables facile incorporation of complex substituents and diverse nitrogen-containing functional groups at C3 and C5.
