A Canine Musculoskeletal Robot for Investigating Biomechanical Functions During Locomotion
Musculoskeletal Robots In article number 2500170, Hana Ito and co-workers developed a dog limb musculoskeletal robot using thin McKibben artificial muscles to investigate the effects of the dog’s musculoskeletal structure on walking. Walking experiments were conducted in both indoor and outdoor environments, suggesting that the flexible structure of the dog’s shoulders contributes to an increase in stroke during walking.
