Financial Literacy and Risk Management Capacity - A Bibliometric Analysis

This paper analyses the link between financial literacy and risk management capacity in the business environment through a bibliometric approach based on data from the Web of Science and Scopus databases for the period 2013-2025. The aim of the research is to identify major trends, influential authors and emerging directions in the study of the relationship between financial skills and risk management strategy in enterprises. The methodology uses bibliometric analysis techniques (co-citation, co-occurrence of keywords, thematic network analysis) applied to a sample of 238 relevant articles. The results show a steady increase in scientific interest after 2020, particularly in the context of the risks generated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the digital transition. The paper contributes to strengthening the theoretical basis for the role of financial literacy as a tool for mitigating economic risks and increasing long-term business sustainability.
