Global Economy under Crisis: A Bibliometric Insight from Web of Science
This study conducts a comprehensive thematic analysis of 6905 academic publications on the global economy under crisis, published between 2021 and October 2025 in the Web of Science database. Using bibliometric analysis, network visualization using vosviewer software, and retrospective analysis, the study aims to identify thematic trends and emerging areas of interest. The study identifies key thematic areas including crisis, growth, trade, monetary policy, volatility, market, and the impact of the covid-19 pandemic. A significant emphasis in contemporary global research is placed on the spillover effects of volatility, innovation, productivity, and the broader role of society in the context of changes caused by economic shocks. As a result, there has been a shift in research focus from broad theoretical perspectives to more specific practical research as the field develops.
