Histopathological Characterization of Granulation Tissue Suggests Three Distinct Types of Periodontal Intrabony Defects

Three distinct types of pathological appearances of soft tissues obtained from intrabony defects were identified. Consequently, our findings serve to alert the heterogeneity of soft tissues retrieved from periodontal intrabony defects and emphasize the requisite caution when interpreting related histopathological findings.
