222. Analysis of the mechanism of ai virtual reality training on college students' stress management ability in digital intelligence physical education
Abstract Background The problem of psychological stress among college students is becoming increasingly severe, and the AI-VR training driven by the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) provides a new path for systematically improving students' stress management abilities in digital physical education. But its specific mechanism of action is still unclear. The research aims to explore the impact of this training and delve into its underlying mechanisms. Methods The study used a randomized controlled trial and was randomly divided into an experimental group and a control group (60 people each). The experimental group received AI-VR stress management training twice a week for 8 weeks outside of regular physical education classes. The training process includes: baseline assessment; Immersive experience in stress scenarios dynamically generated and adaptively adjusted by AI; Learn to apply stress management techniques; Obtain personalized feedback reports generated by AI. The control group only received regular physical education courses. Using the Chinese version of Perceived Stress Scale (CPSS), Heart Rate Variability Scale (HRV-SDNN), Salivary Cortisol, Situational Stress Perception Score, and Stress Coping Efficacy Scale as evaluation tools, three assessments were conducted at three time points: pre-test, post test, and follow-up test (1 month after intervention). The data analysis adopts repeated measures analysis of variance and structural equation modeling. Results After intervention, the measurement results of the experimental group and the control group at three time points are shown in Table 1. As shown in Table 1, after intervention, all stress management indicators in the experimental group were significantly better than those in the control group, and the effect persisted during the tracking period. Its CPSS score and cortisol were significantly reduced, HRV-SDNN and the sense of coping efficacy has significantly improved. The model indicates that the effect follows the path of "reducing stress perception → enhancing physiological regulation → improving coping efficacy" (CFI = 0.95, RMSEA = 0.06). Discussion This study has confirmed that integrating AI-VR training can continuously and multi-dimensional enhance college students' stress management abilities. By combining real-time biofeedback, enhance autonomic nervous system regulation ability; And through successful experiences and precise feedback, the sense of coping efficacy is strengthened, forming a virtuous improvement cycle of "context physiology cognition behavior," highlighting the unique value of digital sports.
