Weakening of the Color Deconfinement Phase Transition in an External Gravitational Field

We study the influence of weak acceleration on gluon plasma using first-principle Monte Carlo numerical methods. Exploiting an analogy between temperature and gravitational potential, we investigate the hot gluonic matter near the critical temperature of the deconfinement phase transition. We considered several lattice sizes along imaginary time and took the infinite-volume limit to make our results convincing. Our simulations show that the weakest acceleration with the magnitude $${\sim}1\%$$ of the critical temperature is sufficient to change the first-order phase transition occurring in pure gluodynamics without acceleration to a soft crossover for the accelerated gluonic medium.
