LEGAL FRAMWORK AND RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLLECTION, STORAGE, PROCESSING, AND SECURITY MANAGEMENT OF BIOMETRIC DATA

This paper aims to analyze the legislative framework for biometric data collection, storage, and processing in Kazakhstan, as well as identify and differentiate the associated risks. The study will focus on biometric data types and their uses in public and private sectors. It will also examine the internal regulations of organizations that collect, process, and manage biometric data to provide services. Further, it will explore the measures taken by the state for storing and securing biometric data collected over time. Finally, it will present recommendations to mitigate risks and ensure the security of such data.
