Measurement of $${\mathcal{B}(B_{s}^{0}\to D/\bar{D}X)}$$ with $${B_{s}}$$ Hadronic Tagging

In the Belle experiment, the branching fractions for inclusive decays of $$B_{s}^{0}$$ mesons into $$D$$ mesons are measured using the hadron tagging method. The results are obtained using a data sample with a total luminosity of 121.4 fb $${}^{-1}$$ collected at the energy of the $$\Upsilon(5S)$$ resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric electron–positron collider. We obtain $$\mathcal{B}(B_{s}^{0}\to D_{s}^{\pm}X)=(68.6\pm 7.2\pm 4.0)\%$$ , $$\mathcal{B}(B_{s}^{0}\to D^{0}/\bar{D}^{0}X)=(21.5\pm 6.1\pm 1.8)\%$$ , and $$\mathcal{B}(B_{s}^{0}\to D^{\pm}X)=(12.6\pm 4.6\pm 1.3)\%$$ . The branching fractions for the inclusive decays into $$D_{s}^{\pm}$$ and $$D^{0}/\bar{D}^{0}$$ are consistent with previous Belle measurements. The new value of $$\mathcal{B}(B_{s}^{0}\to D_{s}^{\pm}X)$$ allows us to obtain the energy dependence of $$e^{+}e^{-}\to B_{s}^{0}\bar{B}_{s}^{0}X$$ cross section and $$B_{s}^{0}$$ mesons’ production rate at the energy of the $$\Upsilon(5S)$$ resonance, $$f_{s}=(21.4^{+1.5}_{-1.4})\%$$ , with more accuracy.
