Neurophysiology of Possession: Functional Convergence of Biological and Cultural Pathogens in the Paralysis of Prefrontal Inhibitory Control
This research investigates the phenomenon of "possession" through the lens of contemporary neurophysiology, proposing a model where biological and cultural pathogens functionally converge to compromise the human nervous system. The study focuses on the paralysis of prefrontal inhibitory control, analyzing how these multi-dimensional pathogens bypass the brain's executive defenses. By integrating cognitive neuroscience with memetic theory, the paper provides a robust framework for understanding altered states of agency and behavioral shifts as a result of neurological vulnerability. This work serves as a foundational text for the study of functional atrophy in higher-order cognitive structures within the context of modern information epidemics.
