Development and Testing of a Tritium $${\beta}$$-Decay by Means of Electron Integral Detector Prototype Based on Faraday Cup
To increase the statistical sensitivity of the search for sterile neutrinos in the Tritium $$\beta$$ -decay, it is proposed to use an integral detector based on a Faraday cup. Detector prototype was designed and tested. The noise level turned to be 2…3 times larger than Schottky limit. Switch time between HV points turned to be less than 4 s. Tritium spectrum shape measured by Faraday cup detector looks quite similar to that measured by standard silicon detector.
