Ultrasound-guided needle-knife release for treatment-refractory cervicogenic headache: a case report
This case highlights that soft tissue pathology around the C1 transverse process can be a critical etiology in refractory CEH. Conventional "blind" needle-knife therapy may fail due to safety concerns limiting the depth of release. Ultrasound-guided needle-knife therapy offers a visualized, safe, and precise minimally invasive alternative for patients unresponsive to traditional C2-targeted therapies, allowing for the effective release of deep soft tissue adhesions.
