Quantifying Spatio‐Operational Heterogeneity in Electrochemical Devices via Operando Correlative Neutron and X‐Ray Tomography (Adv. Funct. Mater. 12/2026)
Spatio-Operational Heterogeneity Through operando multi-modal imaging, internal interfaces (right) and liquid water (bottom) are quantitatively discerned in 3-D during device operation. Direct evidence of anisotropic membrane expansion and localized hydration offer new insights towards designing durable fuel cells.
