Multifunctional Porous Microshuttles as Scaffolding Components and Carriers of Bioactive Factors in Self‐Assembled Microtissues (Small 9/2026)
Microtissues In article number e07968, Zeinab Niloofar Tahmasebi Birgani and co-workers report multifunctional porous poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) microshuttles that act as microscaffolds and local delivery systems in self-assembled human mesenchymal stromal cell (HMSC) microtissues. These microparticles enhance HMSC osteogenic differentiation, especially when loaded with bone morphogenetic protein 2 and nanohydroxyapatite and show promise for engineering pre-vascularized microtissues.
