Genomes of <i>Syntrophomonas erecta</i> GB4-38 T and <i>Syntrophomonas erecta</i> subsp. <i>sporosyntropha</i> 5-3-Z T that degrade C4-8 short-chain fatty acids
We report the genome sequences of two syntrophic gram-negative bacteria, <i>Syntrophomonas erecta</i> GB4-38<b>T</b> and <i>Syntrophomonas erecta</i> subsp. <i>sporosyntropha</i> 5-3-Z<b>T</b>, which degrade C4-C8 short-chain fatty acids when grown in co-culture with a suitable hydrogen-consuming microbial strain.
