A Small Pill‐Like Ingestible Microdevice for Site‐Specific Microbiome Sampling in the Upper GI Tract (Small 9/2026)
Microbiome Sampling In article number e10289, Sarvesh Kumar Srivastava and co-workers show batch fabrication of monolithic devices with distinct activation and sampling chambers connected by a separator passage. The device design enables efficient low-volume luminal fluid capture with minimal cross-contamination, which could be scaled for large-animal and human studies for non-invasive, longitudinal gastrointestinal sampling.
