Abstract

In the originally published article, there was a typo in the unit of the y-axis of Figure 2g ("e.u." should be "a.u."). Figure 2. (g) O 1s spectra of the surfaces coated with PFOS and PFPE.The atomic percentages of the coated surfaces from X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements were not reported. The atomic percentages for C, O, Si, and F are 17% (or 10%), 31% (or 47%), 14% (or 25%), and 38% (or 18%) for the PFPE-coated (or PFOS-coated) surface, respectively. The names of the two ionic liquids (IL1 and IL2) were mistakenly reversed, and there was a typo in the molecular formula of IL1, i.e., "C 16 H 16 O 2 N + CH 3 SO 3 -" should be "C 6 H 16 O 2 N + CH 3 SO 3 -".The corrected contents are as follows:Main article, page 3: "The test liquids have a range of surface tensions, from 19.8 to 65.3 mN m -1 (Table 1), including nonvolatile bis(hydroxyethyl)dimethylammonium methane sulfonate (IL1), 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ethyl sulfate (IL2), low-volatile polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), and n-hexadecane (C16)."
