Recent Advances in the Synthesis of Lentiginosine and Its Epimers
ABSTRACT (+)‐Lentiginosine is an indolizidine natural product, with its non‐natural synthetic enantiomer being (−)‐lentiginosine. Both (+)‐lentiginosine and (−)‐lentiginosine exhibit diverse bioactivities, such as antitumor, anti‐HIV, and immunomodulatory effects, which have therefore attracted significant attention from synthetic chemists. This review focuses on the synthesis of lentiginosine and its epimers, covering the period from 2006 to 2025.
