Alternating Electric Field‐Assisted Matrix Nano‐Coating for High Spatial Resolution MALDI Imaging (Small Methods 3/2026)
Inside Front Cover In article number 2500785, Li, Hao, Wang, and co-workers illustrate alternating electric field-assisted matrix nano-coating (AEFAMnC), a novel matrix deposition technique. By utilizing alternating electric-fields, it enables repetitive micro-extraction of analytes and nanoscale ultra-uniform matrix coating. This significantly boosts the in-situ enrichment of endogenous compounds on sample surfaces and the matrix-analyte co-crystallization, thereby enhancing the performance of high-resolution MALDI-MSI in spatial multi-omics, especially for single-cell studies.
