Research Progress on Irradiation Damage of Molybdenum-Rhenium Alloys
Renowned for their outstanding creep resistance and high-temperature performance, Molybdenum-Rhenium (Mo-Re) alloys are now prime candidates for structural applications in nuclear reactors and first-wall components of fusion reactors. Assessing irradiation damage from energetic particle bombardment, such as neutrons and ions, is essential for material evaluation and selection. This article consolidates recent global research on irradiation damage in Mo-Re alloys, integrating experimental findings with numerical modeling. The insights gained provide critical guidance for advancing the development of Generation IV fission reactors and fusion technologies.
