A novel ‘wrap-and-patch’ omental flap technique for the repair of uretero-uterine fistula: A case report
Uretero-uterine fistula (UUF) is an exceedingly rare complication following cesarean section. Due to its scarcity, established management guidelines are lacking, and surgical intervention is typically required for complex or delayed presentations where tissue fibrosis complicates repair. This case report introduces a classification for cyclic hematuria (menouria) and describes a novel surgical approach the 'Wrap and Patch' omental flap technique for robust UUF reconstruction. Our findings suggest that this dual-surface strategy provides a vascularized barrier that may reduce recurrence, though further research is warranted to validate its long-term efficacy.
