Rate-dependent transition from bradycardia-dependent atrioventricular block to inverse and conventional decremental conduction after transcatheter aortic valve replacement: A case report

Atrioventricular (AV) block is one of the major complications following transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).1 In recent years, only a few reports have described bradycardia-dependent AV block after TAVR.2 Among patients who develop intermittent left bundle branch block following TAVR, approximately 79.4% show bradycardia dependence, and both the intermittent and bradycardia-dependent patterns are reported to be more frequent than in non-TAVR patients.3 Similarly, intermittent, bradycardia-dependent AV block after TAVR may also occur more commonly than previously recognized.
